Today where ever you look, you see people with smartphones. These devises are becoming more and more like computer and are more useful for business each day. As a small business owner you need to make sure that take advantage of the opportunities given through technological advances. Technology is not cheap and I am not advocating buying every new technology that come out, but some technologies are becoming inevitable to buy, to compete in the market.
Smartphones are not a necessity to buy for small businesses yet, but I have a feeling that they will be soon. The benefits that a smart phone can offer will help many aspects of your business.
If you are contemplating on whether to buy a smartphone for you business, consider these benefits:
- Mobility–You have the power of a computer in your pocket. You can search the web, give a PowerPoint at a coffee shop, or make an online bid in a taxi.
- Email–You can send and receive and email from anywhere you have reception.
- Productivity–there are now so many application on smartphones that will give you the opportunity to be more productive.
If you are not familiar with using a smartphone, don’t use that as and excuse to ignore this opportunity. I especially recommend small business owners that travel a lot, do a lot of networking with clients, and these that require information immediately.
